Screen Printing and How Screens are Prepared?

Screen printing is a popular printing technique used to transfer ink onto various surfaces, such as fabric, paper, plastic, metal, and more. It is commonly used in the production of t-shirts, posters, signage, and other promotional items. The process involves creating a stencil, known as a screen, which is usually made of fine mesh material (such as silk, nylon, or polyester) stretched tightly over a frame. The areas of the screen that are not part of the desired image are blocked off using a stencil material or photo emulsion. To print an image using screen printing, the screen is placed on top of the desired material, such as a t-shirt. Ink is then applied to the screen, and a squeegee is used to push the ink through the mesh, forcing it onto the material in the shape of the desired image.
